What the RDAs do
RDAs are business-led organisations. They provide a crucial link between the needs of business and the policies of Government. The RDA in your region can put your business in touch with business support and advice. RDAs work to bring investment into their regions and improve productivity. In the last financial year, RDAs added over 6000 new businesses to the economy.
A Hub of Activity
SEEDA's network of 20 Enterprise Hubs are focal points for innovation and entrepreneurial activity across the South East of England. They deliver a full range of critical support services for young technology and knowledge based companies. These 20 Hubs already physically house over 700 companies, with another 600 belonging to the external network. Enterprise Hubs have a particular role in facilitating the transfer of technology and know-how from the region's universities and research institutes. They also act as a platform for cluster development in leading edge products and technologies. Several Enterprise Hubs offer facilities unique to their sector focus, including sophisticated scientific equipment. The model is unique in its emphasis on a strong regional network and has been the recipient of several awards for its innovative approach to developing knowledge-based businesses.
